AFFAIRCARE

…nouthetic, Christian care after an affair.

When you discovered your spouse having an affair, did THEY move out, did YOU move out, or did the two of you continue living together?

We continued living together, continued sleeping in the same bed.

We lived together for six months while I tried to win her back. She wouldn’t end the affair, so I asked her to move out. She has been gone three months now, and says she is happy. She has broken my heart and hurt my children, and I suppose I should be glad someone with such a hard heart is gone, but I still love her.

I told her that if she couldnt make a decision between him or me and our family then she needed to leave. After some consideration I asked her to stay and I would leave, but it was too late, he had gotten her a hotel room and she left. Three days later he was convicted and sent her back home. It has been a year now since this happened, and we are slowly recovering. Its a difficult road, but God is merciful and has kept us together, even when it looked like we wouldnt make it.

WE lived together and as he stayed things got worse and worse between us. Every time I tried to talk to him, He would get defensive and hateful and tell me that I am crazy or something. Always something. I was walking on egg shells.
